Every morning when I wake up (around 4am), I get right to work and answering emails.
At some point, usually several hours later, Daphne wakes up. I hear her wimper a little, and I let her play until she really lets me know she is awake and ready to be played with. I go in and lay down with her and snuggle with her and hug and kiss her. This is the time I get the best giggles and the best smiles.
Since she learned to get off the bed on her own, I have wondered when she is just going to come out and see me rather than wait for me to come get her.
This morning was the morning. I heard her trying to get off the bed, and I let her do it on her own. She then came running out to see me. She didn't even want to talk to me. She started playing on her own.
Part of me was overjoyed because it has been a milestone I have been watching out for a lot. The other part of me was sad that we may not get to do our snuggling in the morning.
