I lost my little Barred Plymouth Rock chick. She was going to be my 7th laying hen, but she did not make it. I think that she just suffered from Failure to Thrive, which is what chicks run into after day 3 if they just are not set up to live a healthy life.
I am sad, but it will be fine. Julie and I are going to do a trade, so that she loans me another breed of hen to replace her, and I will give her one of the light Brahmas that was going to be a meat chick.
