Sleep Child

I am having an AWFUL time getting Daphne willing to go to sleep at night and stay asleep/ I did a horrible thing when I was away on my trip nursing her whenever she woke up so that the crying wouldn't wake everyone in the house up. I figured that it would only be the nice thing to do.

HOWEVER, she obviously now things that she gets to nurse back to sleep every time she goes to sleep. This has resulted in me having to go to bed with her at 7:00 and nurse her off and on ALL THE TIME until I could sneak out of the bed 12 hours later.

We have tried everything to no avail. I even let her cry away in the crib for 40 minutes before I couldn't take it anymore.

I found a much better solution--her daddy. If Jared rocks her to sleep at night and then puts her in the bed, she will stay asleep for some time. Last night, I got to sleep in a different bed than her for almost 5 hours. That's more sleep than I have gotten alone in a long time. So, I hope that this works in the future. I sure could enjoy some evening time to take care of other things in the house.
