Drug Bust or Breakfast?

The other day, we were sitting at the table about to eat breakfast when one of the two police cars here in Carlton pulled up in front of our house. I literally wondered why they would be coming to talk to us, but the police officer quickly got out and headed for the house at the end of the street.

This piqued my curiosity because I was totally clueless about what was going on, and I was trying to spy a little bit before I realized that I wouldn't see anything--Until a fire truck came.

This time I was really curious, was the house on fire? What was going on? I still couldn't see anything.

Jared insisted that he thought that they were probably just having some kind of a meal, as he had seen the cop dropping people off after dinner the other day.

And then the ambulance came. I was peering out of the window as much as possible, but I couldn't see what was going on. The crew went into the house, and things seemed silent.

Jared again stated that he was sure that they were there for breakfast and that the ambulance arrived with siren and lights because they were late.

The definitive evidence came when they pulled someone out on a stretcher and put them in the ambulance. When they drove away, the cop walked back and the chaos was over.

Jared insists that the cop had a brick of cocaine in his hand, but should I really believe what Jared thinks/says on this matter anymore?

Likely, the mother of the people that owned the house at the end of the street had a medical situation and had to go to the hospital. Seems reasonable enough to me eh?
