Anyone who knows me knows that I would be the first to look for alternate solutions in terms of medicine (and anything for that matter, I am making my own soap for goodness sake).
I have found some skeptics among our friends and family who believe that having Jared be in the hospital working with the "western medicine" world is an act of "giving up" or neglect of "some other solution."
To all you skeptics out there, my only words of advice are to keep it to yourself.
We are not in this situation for lack of tenacity or persistence on finding other possible solutions--believe me. And, unless you have personally gone through a situation painstakingly similar, you really have NO idea what kind of a situation we are in. We have tried EVERYTHING that could possibly look to be an alternative to where we are at right now. In some ways, that is why we are in this situation, perhaps the western world had something useful after all.
So, if you think you have a solution that we haven't tried, feel free to pass it on, but be prepared for defeat or a "we have tried that already." The best solution, support us right now with no skepticism. It is not easy on either of us.

Chris, you are one of my favorite people in the WHOLE WORLD. (You don't have to post this if you don't want to.) I just wanted to say I TOTALLY support you guys and I'm glad you're doing something effective.
