We had an ultrasound done of the baby yesterday. I only wanted one ultrasound for this pregnancy around 20 weeks to make sure that everything is looking good with the baby. That is what we did with Daphne.
It is usually indicated for someone trying for a VBAC that they get another ultrasound at about 38 weeks to make sure that the placenta is not embedded in the scar of the c-section. It looks like the placenta is at the top of the uterus, so there is no indication that it will migrate anywhere near the scar, so I don't think there will be another ultrasound.
It is so nice to have photos of the lovely little baby and to know that everything is just fine.
Here are some photos.
This is the ultrasound we had done of Daphne at 26 weeks. You can see her face!
Profile of the new baby.
Profile and ribcage. This baby didn't want to show its face.
More profile photos.
The baby playing with its foot (doing yoga).
That's a pretty amazing yoga position.
Another profile shot.
The tiny little foot.
This is a 3d photo of the baby playing peek-a boo. See, we got no good face shots.
It is kind of fun to see the baby before it is born.
Regarding the sex: we were told what it was at the ultrasound, but as with Daphne, we aren't telling anyone, so don't ask :)

Oh, the baby is so adorable! I so loved having an ultrasound. It made Satori so real to me.
Ooh, you tease! I think if you don't want to tell what the sex is, it's easier to pretend you don't know. :)
